Indian Springs State Park and Big Sandy Creek

Yesterday a friend and I decided to go paddling even though the weather forecast was predicting rain. We decided to pick something small since it was Nancy first time out this year and I had to get ready for doggie school. So we picked Indian Springs State Park. The lake is a 105 Acre Lake. Even though the lake is small we saw plenty of wildlife, vultures, geese, ducks and turtles to name a few. We even had some frogs serenaded us as we paddled and explored the lake. Heck we even found a rapid while exploring the creek to feds the lake. Later we found out that the creeks name is Big Sandy Creek. As we loaded the boats it finely started to rain. All in all it turned out to be a very pleasant and relaxing paddle.

Pros: Breathable, Durable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly

Cons: Size

Best Uses: Paddling

Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational

I got this after a soaker of a storm on a paddling trip. Last weekend I used it on paddling trip where it was winding. It has a lot of room in the shoulders and it did a great job of blocking the wind. The only con I see so far is the size, not enough room for layering in the winter. But this will be a great jacket for kayaking camping in the fall and spring.
